The taxes applicable for smallcases are the same as that of investing in equities.

  • STCG - Short term capital gains tax is applicable at 15% of the gains if the stocks are sold after less than 12 months of holding.

  • LTCG - Long term capital gains tax is applicable at 10% of the gains if the gains exceed Rs. 1,00,000 and the stocks are sold after more than 12 months of holding.
